I have a 2006 Audi A4 B7 2.7 TDI which has randomly cut out on me whilst driving a few times over the months. I have had it scanned twice by an Audi Specialist using VAGcom and the codes have come up as all injectors in bank A and bank B (V6 engine) are faulty and also all glow plugs.

All injectors, glow plugs and wiring upto the ECU has been checked and no fault can be found so the have determined that it can only be a ECU fault thats causing this.

Ive browsed online and ECU repair places charges around £250.
A new unit from Audi would cost £750 inc VAT. Are these plug and play or would a new unit have to be coded/programmed by Audi ?

Anyone had successes with ECU repairs ?

It does sound like an electrical fault. Possibly a relay issue or an ECU. If you need to change the ECU then this needs to be coded to the vechicle as otherwise the inmmobiliser will be enabled.
