Rear discs landed!

After pulling my hair out for the past several months and doing research, I had some rear brake discs imported from Germany.

I'm using EBC YELLOW stuff pads also.



Otto Zimmermann Sport.

The quality is 2nd to none the finish is zinc coated.

Top quality German stuff. Are they used by Porsche?

Zinc coated. Are they still likely to rust on hubs?
Would probably paint it to be sure.

Great looking discs.

Is that coating not just ATE referred to as Geo*** - I've forgotten the rest of that name, maybe Geomet, most of the disc suppliers use that method to prevent rusting of the swept areas during storage, saves needing to wash the anti-rust oil off prior to fitting them. It does keep the discs looking better for longer as well, but I would still apply the smallest amount of something like Copaslip over the hub/disc mating face as well as the road wheel/disc mating face and the hub centre part - doing that saves a lot of annoyance when you next need to get the wheels off - and keeps the hub mating face clean for the next discs!
