They're operating in London, but not in Kent. I live on the Kent/London border.

Betcha, that half of them which is off, did not covered even running costs.
Rest of the running ones will do national numbers in speeding tickets.

Afaik the middle of the lane ones are turned off on the M25 but the hadecs side of the road ones are on.

A policeman once told me that the ones with camera film in need to be ventilated so if you can't see the vent holes in the rear there is no film. Have a look next time you are out, 99% have closed vents.

Most of the reporting is misleading. Most forces rotate the camera units around on a 3/4 to 1 ratio - so at any one time most wont be technically working but I wouldn’t risk it.

Still think they aren’t a replacement for real traffic copper catching criminals on the road...
