Fuel in the oil

Hey guys,

Had posted last week about my car having a misfire and low oil pressure light. Anyways it turns out the reason the oil light came on was cos the fuel was mixing with the oil somewhere, did an oil change, and the dip stick still smells strongly of fuel.

Any reason as to where or why the fuel and oil are mixing?

FYI, last mod I did before this started was HPFP

Your HPFP is the first place I would look. Did you replace the whole unit or swap the internals?

Just the internals bro, but the seals looked perfect

I think it's fairly obvious that the HPFP is where the problem is . Avoid driving the car till this is resolved. Diluted oil does not protect the engine.

Yep, just to wrap this up, it was the seal in the HPFP that was gone bad. It's a pity they don't sell those seals by themselves. Anyway cabbie is back on the road now
