Bonnet vents S4 a7

Hi all,
Got a 4.2 S4 and it gets hot realy quickly when stood still, thinking of putting bonnet vents in to help cooling, any ideas what type would be best (one big or two small) and what possition, also would water ingress be a problem ? Cheers karl

I wouldn't worry unless you've got high coolant or oil temps when its stood still.

The temp guage doesnt seam to move much , but when stood It starts to missfire on all cylinders, carnt remember the error code.... I think bonnet vents would look good anyway

That's not normal. Every other S4 runs without bonnet vents and no misfires at idle.

Yep i know its not normal but putting vents in is cheap and would look good !

Okay but as long as you realise it's not going to solve your problem.

Rather than bonnet vents that would not look good (IMO), why do you invest the money in repairing the car, it sounds like you have coolant issues which may only get worse and kill the engine, and if that happens the bonnet vents would be kind of useless.
