I have an intermittent idle issue where it feels like a missfire, I have read about measuring blocks 72-77 but not sure on how to read the data, can anyone help?
sorry for the sideway pictures.
I had rough idle issues with a big of smoke turned out to be an injector fault on low fuel / idle I read measuring blocks but others seem to compensate for it readings all over I had all mine pressure tested which I’m told was the best way.
Some clever lads on here who might throw some light on it good luck fella.
Thank you, I have had a price for pressure testings which worked out about £150, but thinking if I can diagnose one via vcds I can put that towards replacements
Good luck my readings were very vague that’s why I decided to get all mine tested but yes the testing just about pays for a new injector think mine was £186 and the new injector would need coding in.
Not got a part no to hand but should have some paperwork.
Yes the early injectors were poor they’ve been superseded at least 3 times I got the latest part no/injector will check later.
Very difficult to diagnose a faulty injector with VCDS as quite often it's more than 1 that has an issue.
This is a very good thread with lots of info but even when you know a lot about reading the VCDS results on these engines it's very difficult to make accurate decisions. Probably the best thing to do is get all the injectors tested by a reputable specialist. Then go from there. http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/...idle-revs-(-Have-I-got-the-most-lemon-A6!!!-)
