My passenger door handle appears to be playing up intermittently. When you unlock the car sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The door always opens using the internal handle though.

Anyone got any ideas what it could be?

Scan it for fault codes but my moneys on the door lock

Same as mine, think it's something on the electrical side as it works now and then just not got round to fault reading it yet

Definitely the door lock, do it while its intermittent. I've had 2 replaced on my sportback, all four on my dads B8 A4 and one each on two family members A6's with the exact same issues. Common VAG problem.

I did a scan on with VCDS and it came up with this fault...

012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit
00929 - Locking Module for Central Locking; Front Passenger Side (F221)
008 - Implausible Signal

Does this definitely point to a faulty door lock?

Sorry to hi-jack this a little bit

But would an OBD scanner (such as carista or torque) pick up the fault code for a faulty door lock?

Just I've noticed my rear drivers side isn't locking when using the central locking - but not 100% sure if its due to me haha, cuirrently the front drivers door doesn't have the windows regulator/motor installed so no power to that door and kinda hoping its knocked the power off to the rear drivers door too?

Probably knackered locks, both mine have gone on the passenger side, the rear first, went intermittent then failed, the front door went the same about 6 weeks later, the cold wet weather seemed to finish them off. Mine is 2005 but the history shows it had similar problems back in 2009.
