Spacing wheels

I have the new wheels on now and they look ok (I will post some pics over the weekend) but I think they dont lok wide enough on the rear, Has any body spaced there rear wheels out ? if so how far ?
Or does any one know if it would be ok to do this, I have spaced wheels out on a 2wd drive car before but never on a 4wd car

There's a lot of guys running spacers on their S3's some for styling/handling and others to obtain clearance on big brake sets. I would suggest a search as this has been discussed many times and I think you can get away with 20mm spacers all round. Basically you should measure the distance from the outer edge of the tyre to the inner lip of the wheel arch to give an idea of the max spacer that can be fitted.
