Hi, I have a 2009 A3 which has the magnetic suspension installed, I have an issue where the car went into the garage for warranty work on a rear shock absorber and the sports suspension button no longer works when I try to enable it using the button near the hazard lights button.

I've had it back to 2 garages now and they still can't figure out whats wrong, they have checked fuses & that the shock absorber is plugged in correctly and also tried to read for faults - none are showing! Any ideas what to look for? Also, the esp button no longer works when i press it, would this be linked?

Thanks.

Did they fit genuine mag shocks? Take it back and complain - they have either ****** it or not plugged it in correctly. Get them to scan for fault codes too.

The garage had my car in for a day, they did say that they checked the mag shock and it is correctly plugged in. They also performed a diagnostic scan where nothing appeared.

They think its a wiring loom issue, but I don't get how it would be when it should have been a straight mag shock replacement.

Anyway, when I put the ignition on and hold down the sports suspension button the yellow light does appear for around 5 seconds but the sports suspension activated message on the dash doesn't appear. Is there anything I could be checking? I really can't be without my car for a week (that's how long the garage want my car for)

Are they Audi specialists? What did they use to scan the car with as some of the 'other' scan tools only check the engine ecu for fault codes?

I would find a local forum member with vcds and get them to scan for error codes.

Just an update, I took the car to another garage and the auto levelling sensor has snappe. This is to be repaired tomorrow/Friday. Would this have any impact on the suspension not working?
