Servicing advice please

My A3 1.6 TDI surprised me tonight but telling me my service is due in 182 days or 1400 miles. The problem is, it had a major service on 8 November 2017 and I've only covered 8,000 miles (or 9400 miles by the time it becomes due). Over the last 5 years I've had it serviced pretty every 14-16 months doing between 15-20k. Bit confused what might have triggered the alert. Any thoughts?

Could it have been reset to fixed service rather than flexible at the last service?

Thanks, yeah that makes sense. 10,000 miles or 12 months whichever comes first. I'll get them to put it on a flexible service next time as it won't be getting a service more than once a year!
