Does it open with the key ?
Maybe it just needs a new battery and recoding. Easy to recode, just google it.

Do the electric windows work or the flashing led for the alarm? Have the interior lights stopped working? Check the wiring loom from the body to the door inside the rubber grommet. It's quite common for this to break one or more wires inside and stop things working.
