Has anyone done this and is there a lot involved. I’m not sure there is anyone up aberdeen way that can do it for me.

Big bucks as @DJAlix will testify.

It’s not just as simple as fitting a VC display.

Whole lot of other works must be completed

The virtual dash looks cool but after having an A4 loaner with it, I was glad to get the analogue dials back.
Maybe it's because my eyes are the wrong side of 50 but it strained my eyes even dimmed right down. It's off my tick list tbh
 
Retrofitting to a FL vehicle is slightly different and the costs a bit less. If you are interested please let me know as I have a partner in Scotland who could potentially do this for you. Please be aware however that you are looking at a 4 figure cost to have a fully working VD retrofitted.

If you want it like original you need a new dashboard (in stead of cutting the pfl dashboard) and mib2 :)

FL dashboards need cutting or changing to VC versions also :)
