Window regulator spaghetti nightmare!

So.....I'm replacing the wing mirror. Removed top section of door inc the window/regulator etc. Whilst removing the top half the pulley section came winging off along with the cables.
I've spent the past 2 hours trying to get tension on the springs whilst rewinding the cables, but for the life of me, no joy!

Any tips ? Do I need to remove the regular from the glass and tension that way ?

Really struggling to get this going.

You’ll struggle with the regulator setup still inside the door. When my cable snapped I took the whole assembly out and rewired it on the floor. It’s under A LOT of tension, which I’m sure you’ve already worked out. Once you get each reel assembled then secure it in place with a cable tie until it’s fitted back in the car and then remove the cable ties

The regulator/window is out of the door - tried levering the reel back into place and it wouldn't go. Felt like something was going to snap - perhaps I need a bigger lever!! What a nightmare.
