Any stereo experts?

I’ve bought a new a TQS and today I’ve put in an aftermarket head unit as it didn’t come with one, I’ve purchased the correct harness as I have sound coming from the rear as well as the front but I’ve noticed that there’s a bunch of 3/4 cables (red/purple/brown) that have been taped together and isolated? Does anyone know what they are? Also there’s a small brown connector that doesn’t seem to go anywhere could anyone enlighten me? I’ve attached some pictures

The brown connector is an earth that goes onto the back of the factory unit. Are those wires straight out of the ISO plug? Or are they soldered into the wiring further up?

Can’t remember if the purpose of the earth is... if someone robs your stereo the earth circuit gets broken and it sounds the alarm... can’t remember 100%.. looks like I’ve found something to do tomorrow then..
