Hi everyone,

I know this may seem like a bit of repeat content, because I've come across a few threads from this site in my google searches where people seem to have the same problem, but I still haven't found a solution that solves mine.

Last week I bought a second hand Audi A3 1.6 Sport (2006 model with single DIN Concert stereo, no CD changer, no Bose speakers, no audio controls on the steering wheel) and want to install the Pioneer head unit I had in my previous car. I've bought a DS-AD003.2 (same as a CTS-AD003.2 I believe) on recommendation from Dynamic Sounds and connected everything up but cannot get sound out of the rear speakers.

The blue and white remote wire from the HU is connected to the blue wire on the new harness, and definitely has power (been tested with a multimeter). We can get a bit of sound out of the subwoofer playing around with the settings on the head unit, but nothing from the rear speakers. The last piece of advice I had from Dynamic Sounds was to plug the rear RCA leads into the front outputs on the head unit, but we've just tried that and still can't get anything out of the rear speakers. They work fine with the original Concert stereo, and I can actually hear a little hiss/crackling when I put my ears close to them with the Pioneer one, so they do sound powered.

Does anyone else have any suggestions we can try or am I going to have to find a car audio specialist?

Thanks in advance!

Are you using PC9 401 Harness? I used this to put a Sony HU into my car.

The only requirements for driving the rear speaker are as you know:
-12V Blue Wire switched
-Gnd
-Signal Left - Signal Right (the PC9 401 harness has the Hi-LO Converter to reduce the voltage it will still work without this)
