Power steering fluid...

Just checked my power steering fluid and the steering started feeling a bit ‘notchy’ when driving slowly, and it’s pretty low should it be the red or green? Any make in particular? Apparently TPS don’t sell to the general public anymore and the sales assistant wasn’t the most helpful

I've only ever bought steering fluid for my VW Group cars from VW, but, if your liquid has been used/lost I think that you need to find out why as refilling without fixing will not be a good plan, it is the green stuff by the way.

In my case, my old B5 Passat had what at that time was a common issue, incorrectly spec'd clamps on the hoses, too weak for that application! Never added any fluid to any other VW Group cars.

Thanks for the reply. Had a quick look and there is a leak, can’t tell if it’s the pipe or clamp that needs replacing.
