my car is not a daily driver average about 300 miles a month and is garaged overnight.
If I locked it overnight using central locking and then unlocked it in the morning say over 4 unused days would it drain the battery. I’m also away for 6 weeks in Summer so if it was locked over this period of time and unused would I have a dead battery when I returned.
Just looking for extra security for my car
Thanks
Dave

Locking and unlocking as you describe will not drain a healthy battery. Your alarm is active all the time the car is locked anyway.
Sitting idle for 6 weeks could potentially be a problem, so a trickle charger as above could be a good idea.
If you are worried about it do you really need to be going in and out of your car so often when not intending to drive it?

The car will automatically turn off systems over time to preserve the battery. It will eventually turn off the central locking leaving the car locked and only unlocked by using the key..
