Annually, but I only do 5k miles during that time.

Good call. I'd think 'Every 5-10k' and 'Once a year' are the same answer for most.I'm not sure that the voting options have been thought out well enough, though I can't give a better set of options! What I mean is, my 4K miles a year means I can say I only think once a year is okay, while also being every 4K miles.
So, just come back from picking my car up from the service... Currently on 28k miles. Had oil change (last one was 14k miles ago), DSG oil change and front pads replaced (with DS2500's). The qualitative response to the question "what was the oil like" was "looked pretty clean actually". And I got the same response when I asked about the DSG oil. Had the DSG oil "filter" replaced too - will post pics of that at a later date as I asked for the old one so I could inspect it. Not been as brutal as @Dippy and haven't taken samples for analysis, but am pretty happy with that. Based on that, I will change engine oil yearly, DSG oil every second service (which are about every 12 months apart - I've had the car exactly 2 years tomorrow).26k and just going in for the second oil change (running on Millers Nanodrive). And first DSG service.
