BEST OIL FOR TDI

Looking at doing the oil in my son's car a3 2006 2.0tdi 170 sline from what i can see on the net this oil seems to be the one
CASTROL EDGE PROFESSIONAL LONGLIFE 5W30 FULLY SYNTHETIC 5L **VW50400/VW50700** can anybody tell me if this oil is ok and how good it is thanks for all help

You really want to post in the A3 8P section as this forum does A3/S3 8L (1999-2003) so you'd get a better answer there.
