I agree, but I haven’t been able to get a guide on how to do it. Reading this thread made me think do you need a new handle which might be considered a warranty issue then?LED failure is the same as bulb failure isn’t it? If so, it’s a consumer replaceable item, or whatever they call it in warranty speak
Watched this, and handle cover is removed very easy. Got the LED module out, and now to get a price! Going to try under warranty as it’s LED.....fingers crossed!
Yes, got my dealer to replace it under warranty. Although I did notice in early March that it had gone again, so another call will be logged once lockdown it over. Frustrating that the same handle has now blown 2nr bulbs!... and another revival.
Spike did the stealers agree to warranty fix as it was LED? My stealer recently quoted me £16 for the bulb and said no labour as it was easy to fix. Thinking however, with lockdown might just give it a bash myself?!
Hi Judge888
I just recently threw away the old LED which would had the part number on always the way when you need something you just threw away.
As mine was OSR, it may have not been much help to you as the right and left ones have different part numbers, not sure about front and rear. The way I did it to make certain was remove the handle and take the LED out. This was very easy, it’s just held on with some clips so pulls right off. There’s a YouTube video somewhere on how to do that.
Edit: S19MYD posted it already.

Noticed the rear passenger side handle on my 2016 RS6 didn't light last night when i left work. Anyone have the part number for this please?.
Would you mind letting me know the cost please?. PM me if you prefer? thanks.
.............the part is only around £18.00 from Crew Audi.Noticed my drivers door has gone. Probably do this myself nearer the summer as it looks easy enough...
