Hi all, i have recently bought a 2011 A1 diesel TDI and once a week i get a judder from the engine when cruising at low speeds or going around town, its quite a bad judder to the stage where it feels like its going to stall but it doesnt, the engine will tick over smoothly although the revs are at 1000 and not 800, when i get this judder the stop start function will not work and i get deisel fumes inside the car, when i get this judder if i put my foot down it responds and goes as it should untill i get back to cruising speed of about 30-40mph then it starts again, i have found by giving it lots of revs or driving at high revs after about 10 miles the engine judder goes away for about anotger week.
Any ideas what this could be?
