gear knob removal

hi guys iam trying to remove the gear knob how does it come of the lever please.

pull up the gear lever boot plate with the boot attached , if you pull the boot right up and over the knob you'll see a small single use clip, you'll need to cut it off or lever it open and then the knob and boot will pull off in one piece.
