Road salt is especially bad for any coating as is low temperatures,in general nothing lasts anywhere near as long as they quote especially gyeon wet coat....try leaving it on the car for longer ie 4/5 minutes then rinse off from a distance of 8ft towel dry and use a quick Detailer this will prolong the protection in generalAfter being neglected for 4 weeks thought I’d give it a quick wash. Not particularly impressed with the longevity of the Gyeon WetCoat. Allegedly supposed to last “around” 3 months but it appears to have completely gone after 1.
Exhaust tips polished just for you @Adam14

How difficult was it to do and what polisher did you use? I’ve got a small scratch and usual micro scratches but don’t want to spend a fortune fixing it :/
I have a das6pro equivalent(griots)but any da can do it. It took around 30 min which included cure time. 1/10 in difficulty. Prep pad, set to 2 and keep pad flat on surface and do 4passes and inspect work. No pressure on da. Just let the weight of the da and the pad do the work. It’s just like doing a section of paint. Same principles. Use forced air if you have it on the inside to get rid of any dust that gets in normally through the holes. A leaf blower can also be used. I sealed mine with sealant wax but if so inclined a dose of SiO2 would be a great finisher. For something we look at all the time, I think it’s time we’ll spent and beats the boredom during these difficult times

well 2 things i always recommend for all audi owners...DA polisher and VCDS cable. You can purchase a new cover but it will likely have scratches on it when it arrives. When the market returns, consider purchasing a DAS6 proI haven’t got anything for polishing, how much would this all cost me? Could I not buy replacement cover from tps for less?

Run windows via Parallels, or you can boot camp. How much is that going to set me back? Plus all the cutting compounds and pads?
Thought about getting vcds but as I have MacBook Air id need a new laptop too, cheaper to go to a garage and ask them to check for faults...

@FurtiveSway looking good get some metal polish on the exhaust tips.
If you’d written that in sign language It would’ve made just as much sense to me
Pre-Rinse, Foam, 2 Bucket Wash, Dry, Paint Correction, Polish, Ceramic Sealant.
Yellow Calipers a recent addition. Nice weather during this Covid-19 stuff!
155,000 miles on the clock!
Parallels is software you load on a Mac that allows you to run Windows. Boot camp is by Apple and does the same but a bit more tricky to setup as you need to change you hard drive setup.
Make anymore sense?
Lucky ******! It is a hateful job sorting it, but rusty hubs are a BIG no no. Hope yours stay rust free. What I haven’t done is clean, rub down and repaint rusty hubs having sold my S3 as the S4 doesn’t seem to suffer in the same way - why??!! And I was so looking forward to doing it too

Makes a bit more sense lol, are they both paid applications?
A right regular detailing regime you've got going there Tash....lol2nd wash since Oct last year. But then I've done only 1k miles in the last 5-ish months.
Used BH autofoam, CP Reset, sprayed Hydro2 and Gyeon Cure. Arches cleaned with Surfex HD, IronX used on alloys and dressed with CP PERL

Haha....love your approach to “his & hers” things!Honestly, I was embarrassed to even post the 'before' pictures but tbh, car had been garaged for over a month. And given Govt's guidelines the only way I could keep at a safe 'social distance' from Mrs was to wash the car. So, took my time and spent 4.5 hours cleaning it.
And it is the A3 today, which not only needs a good wash but a proper machine polish as it has been to £5 hand carwash quite a few times
Got to my post winter full decon wash and topped up my coating with Gyeon Q2 Can Coat.
