Interested in this too. I'm at 29k or something and I think the pads are getting low, at least on the rear, don't know about the front and not really sure how to properly measure..
Crew Audi Parts on the forum quoted the below but didn't specify what they were.
Front pads £96.00
Rear pads £54.00
On eBay I saw these Brembo ones: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Front-And-Rear-Brembo-Brake-Pads-Audi-S3-8V-VW-Golf-MK7-R-Seat-Leon-Cupra-280-RS/152572187416?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
and EBC redstuff - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EBC-RedStuff-Front-Brake-Pads-for-Audi-S3-8V-2-0-Turbo-300-2012-DP32127C/292431376042?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
Both come in around £110 but I aint got a clue with what people have etc
In the past I’ve used ferodo ds2500 and they were really good on and off track. Cold bite was good and no squeal from the pads.
For oe spec if you aren’t looking for an upgrade I would go with TRW cotec range. I put these on my last a6 and they were better than the factory pad and the main thing that did it for me was there was so much less brake dust compared to the oe pad. Wheels only needed a quick pressure wash instead of a half hour scrub. Used trw in many cars now and the quality is always very high and they always come with all the fittings, shims, caliper bolts and sensors. Very reasonable priced too.
I’m not necessarily looking for an upgrade as such, but something with a slight improvement on OEM would be preferred if it didn’t come with any downsides such as squeal and worse cold bite - so the TRW is something I’ll be looking into for sure!

£52 isn’t bad. Worth a punt.
Unsure on what pads to use but I'd get them checked elsewhere. Personal experience of Audi lying out their ***** when it comes to stuff like this.
I’ve been recently recommended EBC by another S3 owner but just unsure really

Things may have changed now, but many many moons back when I was in my early 20's I had the light come on to say about the pads being low, they wanted a ridiculous amount to replace the sensor that once used was broken and also to knock off the light on the dash. I just put a bit of tape over the light so you couldn't see it lol....the car was worth less than a grand and the sensor etc was well over £100 from memory.Yeah, I know what you mean, I just want to get some in stock and change them when the light comes on.. planning on changing myself
Are these ones definetely with COTEC? The OEM brake pads on the S3 create a lot of dust!

I believe so. Better make sure it’s the right ones for yours as there’s a million variants of pads. Easy way is look for your PR number in your service book.
I'm currently looking at same ones as we speak. What you got in the basket will thy do all 4 corners? Qty 1 each of front and rear. Does that mean both front and both rear?Things may have changed now, but many many moons back when I was in my early 20's I had the light come on to say about the pads being low, they wanted a ridiculous amount to replace the sensor that once used was broken and also to knock off the light on the dash. But as for your pads, have you seen these £57.49?

I'd imagine each box would contain a set of 4 pads to do either the front or back. Easy enough just to look or ask before paying.I'm currently looking at same ones as we speak. It’s a guess. They stick the camera behind the wheel for a peek and guestimate how much is left. They don’t even take the wheels off for service anymore. Wait till the pad wear indicator comes on the dash then change. That’s why it’s there. If I remember right it lights up around 70-80% worn.I would definently get a 2nd opinionI was told the same in January last year, however I got them checked by an independent Audi specialists who said they were fine. I then had the Haldex and s-Tronic service done in September at another main dealer, who also confirmed the discs still had plenty of life in them, but the pads were now worn. It seems “70%” worn is their favourite number looking on the forums as it seems everyone is told is this.
