Audi a3 2007 manual 2.0 tdi

Tried to start the car up but the key will not turn even to ignition on position, (definitely not steering lock) after trying lots of times the key turned but very very stiff, managed to turn the car on but NOW THE CAR IS STUCK ON AND RUNNING, can someone help please??

Problem is, the car is manual unlike the video that has an automatic gearbox

I won't turn the key as you might break it inside the ignition switch. Take the car to your Indy or call the breakdown (if you have the cover) and get it checked.

If you are really desperate try spraying some wd40 in the barrel. They can clog up with dust and other stuff over time and this clogs the mechanism.

Not a permanent fix but only temporary. As I said only if your desperate. I’d go with the post above.
