Hey,

There's a strange squeaking noise from the engine area on the drivers side. It only seems to sound when I start the engine but stops after a few minutes of driving. I've had the engine running whilst looking under the hood and it seems to be coming from the belt on the left of the engine, couple photos attached.

Has anyone had this issue before or recognise what it might be?

Cam belt? Bearings?

Cheers

Spray a little water mist in the general area. If it stops it's the belt. No need for a garden hose. Just a little kitchen sprayer.

Could be loose/worn out belt, try the water trick. If not then is could be the bearing. Check is you have timing belt, better to get it fixed. If it’s got timing chain then it’s only the water pump driving belt, keep an eye on temp gauge if it breaks
