16k miles

I have just owned this Audi S3 for around 2 months and it's on 16k miles. Enjoy this car very much. Yesterday after a car wash, setting off from traffic lights the car started to judder and the EML was blinking, I pulled up on the side switched the car off and on, everything was back to normal no juddering and no EML.
Car usually drives and pulls in every gear with no hesitation and also starts without any problems.

Quite suprised i'm getting engine problems at 16k miles.

Now i've heard cylinder misfire can be caused by several things such as spark plugs, coils, injectors and so on. I don't want to be replacing everything, can anybody point me in the right direction with the fault codes below.

Did it happened afterward too. Did you washed the engine bay. Was it a pressure washer.

Cheers

It was just a one off, never happened again.
No engine bay wash, just a simple exterior wash with a pressure washer.
Thanks

It looks like more of moisture issue...on connectors. Try figuring out how you washed and what can hold water(connectors).

I hope the clear code/freeze farms are cleared . If not clear them and enjoy your car.

Cheers

Thanks will do that

Looks like there are the culprit....Check starter relay area/wiring connectors.

Any ideas where the starter relay area is?
Thanks

No Mate. I’ve got SQ5 so no idea. Google it

Crikey - that is low mileage.
I think you said that it only happened once and is now fine with no side effects?
If so I would be tempted to ignore it and just mention it when it next goes in for service. You should be servicing it annually with low mileage.

Took a look around the relay connectors and any signs of water inside the engine bay, everything's dry as a bone.
Cleared the fault codes and no fault codes to show anymore.
Will update if anything does or does not show up after a week.

Is the cover for the engine relays / fuses on properly? It sounds to me like some water has got in there from your wash and is causing a short

Cover for the engine relay was on properly, was actually a pain to take off if anything lol as one side didn't want to release.
Looked around and pushed in the relays and fuses just to be sure. Looked fine to me.

Quick update
No misfires soo far and no fault codes to show yet.
Just waiting for another misfire (if it happens) and I will then consider replacing the spark plugs and coil packs, as i've heard they're quite common to fail on these engines.

You must not have any more dramas.

Random misfire will never happen due to coils/spark plugs. A static misfire can be resolved by changing one of or both.

Change your spark plugs as per manual. That should be good.

Intake air temp of 60 degrees seems a bit high. I'm assuming the car was sat with engine running for sometime.
