Quick question please. The aircon hasn't worked for at least 6 years and I have no intention of spending silly money trying to sort it.
Basically when I get the belt changed is there any point in removing the aircon pump? I appreciate the belt has to route around the pump, I've just heard of occasions when the aircon pump pulley (or clutch) seizes wrecking the belt. Am I worrying about nothing, I just hate the idea that an unused and unwanted pump has the potential to cause problems?
Thanks Mark.

Yes, this can happen. However to delete it you will need a custom length belt as I think all B7s came with A/C.

A custom length belt would probably be more hassle than it is worth. If you get the length wrong all your ancillaries stop working and it will fail anyway.

Are you sure it doesn’t just need regassing?

Normally pressure sensor is common on these £43 ish just bumper off to change it
Is econ light on your display??

I done a full aircon delete on my 2.0TDi use a bit of string to get the length of the belt you need and ring up euros my belt only cost £11
