I have an Audi A3 S line 2016 which I have recently purchased second hand.

It has rear parking sensors which look to be factory fitted however I have looked in the manual to try and adjust the sensor volume however I cannot find this option anywhere.

If what I have read in the manual is right it should be displayed in the ‘Car: Driver assist’ however nothing comes up. Does this mean they are fitted after market?

I have a Parking Aid option on that menu that allows separate adjustment of front and rear volume and frequency and also the volume of the radio when the sensors are operating.

I have factory fitted sensors.

I think there are 2 versions of parking sensors.
Factory fit ones will have the option for volume control in the MMI
The other is dealer fit version which essentially is an aftermarket kit and doesn’t link with the MMI or the rest of the car.
Looks like you got the dealer fit version.
Only way to check is a vcds scan or similar to see if the parking module is there
