hi guys.

Just had the Mrs. Car serviced at Audi at a whopping £336 :0

It was in for a full major service. Looking on the job sheet, all they’ve done is oil filter, oil, air filter and spark plugs.

They haven’t changed the automatic gearbox fluid either. It’s got the s tronic transmission (not flappy paddles).
Doesn’t this fluid need changing every two years?

We had to pay for the brake fluid to be changed another £65 on top.
Pollen filter is another £59.

They also want £386 to replace one of the front springs!!

Any advice. I feel like this gearbox fluid needs changing I’m sure I’ve read that somewhere before.
Previous owner missed major service.

As I understand it the six speed is a wet clutch system which needs an oil and filter change every 40,000 miles.

If it’s a seven speed it could be either a wet or dry clutch system. The dry clutch is a sealed for life box which needs no maintenance. The wet clutch version requires an oil and filter change as per the six speed.

I’m no expert so this is my understanding having had DSG boxes for several years.

Get onto Audi customer services with your chassis number and they should be able to tell you.
