Can't make mind up oil pick up change

Good afternoon you lovely people. I know this subject has been done to death but I'm sure there's still a few people like me who can't make there mind up about changing the oil pick up pipe so I thought I would show you what mine looked like.

If its black, then its coated , so, the effective area is already reduced , by how much , who knows , but as its out best place for it is the bin , fit a new one ...

They are very cheap, replace it.

I cleaned mine thoroughly with avgas. Got the mesh all cleared.The worse parts were the crud accumulated under the sides in the strainer opening so if you do decide to clean it get a hooked tool to get right scraping right under there. Blow throw with the air compressor final soak and it’s brand new. I know they are not expensive and folks will say replace, but if you get it cleaned properly no need to replace.

As above spent 15minutes cleaning mine with some gunk engine clean and it's good as new.
