This has been like this for a while. I guess someone reversed into me... I can’t explain the scratches any other way.

I’d like to touch it up. What paint am I after?

Would be difficult to match a colour for that, not sure if it will have a colour code as such because it’s plastic and I’m not sure if it’s painter.

You priced a new one up? It’s only a small piece of it, wouldn’t contemplate touching in just get it changed.

The ‘blade’ is in 3 sections on the Face lift.

Around £100 each iirc.

Getting it off is bumper off jobbie and dealing with some clips and some not so nice clips.......

I had mine off a few months back and took some pics

Good to see what’s behind :icon thumright:

I bet that bumper is a little scary to remove, these cars are put together well and the clips make some horrible noises.

I’d imagine some places would make their best efforts to remove the trim with the bumper on. Touch up would be easiest in this case but not best.

It’s a matt silver look to me. No one has ever tried touching it up? I don’t want to replace that section of the blade for a few marks.

It is indeed matt silver, I believe they quoted definition for it is “matt aluminium”.

Best thing you could do would be to pay a visit to a knowledgeable dealer or a very reputable painter, who might be able to give you a rough match.

My thinking is it’s not a part that’s necessarily painted, it’s plastic and a clip on / off part... might be coated in some other way or could just be paint.
