Be very careful tightening up the long bolts. This has been sold by Creationmotorsport and there have been reports of them snapping off leaving the thread in the cylinder head. When it says genuine it is referring to the cover and not the bolts. The original long bolts that you cannot get easily were steel and so no chance of snapping.
The AKS versions are better.
Someones selling a fully black engine cover in the classifieds for £100 I believe.

That looks spot on mate.....so frustrating though. Couple of weeks ago I went on holiday and missed out on a weeks pay (only just started my training to be an electrician so not getting holiday pay) just forked out the monthly bills and purchased the car so £100 is a no go at moment
Appreciate you letting me know though dude. Hopefully another pops up in the next month or so.....fingers crossed.
Replace that rear wiper with the A3 8V rear wiper- looks so much better and (aftermarket) can be picked up for about £7 on ebay.
To be honest you've taken the 2+ stage as far as you can. You'll be into big/hybrid turbo territory next.
Performance mods aside, you could look to TTRS front calipers to improve the stopping, upgrading the suspension (coilovers?) and anti-roll bars.
I dont think its really practical to take it past 2+ TBH, you start looking at smaller gains for larger amounts of money and as Sam says any more power and you will want to do brakes and handling as well
Unfortunately you never quite get over the " take it out for the sake of it mode". eight years on and i still go out just to drive. typical down your way, Redhill, godstone, eastbourne ,brighton, worthing , horsham, and round is about a 100 mile trip/evening spin. ...i have been known to do several laps of the one way system just delay getting home
We need a title change.

You can’t change the title but @Sandra may be able to help?
The S3 badge clips in, but I think you need to take the grille off to fit the metal securing clip. I think I have a spare (genuine) if needed be but they have them on eBay.
It's actually not that bad to remove the front bumper and can be done without taking the wheels off.
From memory there are a few screws holding the arch liner to the bumper and a screw behind the liner on each side.
Roughly half a dozen screws holding the bumper to the under tray, which are best accessed by jacking up slightly and then the screw under the front bonnet which is known to seize.
Can be done in 20 mins fairly easily tbh.
Lovely car by the way, really does make me miss my old 8P S3, probably even more than the 8V S3 I had!
Don't recall a securing clip on my car forfthe front badge, mine was all plastic and just pushed in, although it's an A3. I do remember the badge will only fit in the correct place on the grille as the spring prongs are angled for a precise fit.
Make sure you buy an OE Audi badge, the cheap copies fade, rust and the red paint falls off.
@Will.T i have changed the title temporarily until I hear from you what you actually want. @samuelh_888 thanks for the tag.
strange because in some of the original adverts it still has its S3 badge on the front.
The guy I bought mine off also removed the front S3 badge... I ordered one as soon as I sent deposit
