So my air filter cover thinggy has come off... Again...

How do I keep it on? Why is it popping off?

Can I replace the whole unit with something similar to carbonio but costs a lot less?

I don't think my tape should be a permanent fix?

Omg.. what if it gets sucked in?

Just buy an Audi original cover. The air filter will stop the tape being injested.

I’d be more worried by that orange dipstick. Notorious for disintegrating and the plastic bits going into the sump.

Oh dear! Mines a different engine so I don’t know how they fit on. It seems it’s just air pressure entering the front grill and pushing the cover off. How about a couple of discreet screws fitted in the ends of the cover?

Good looking out, will see what's available, any recommendations

Either that or cable ties lol

Think I'll go with the screws

It doesn’t matter if the cover is air tight in that position.
