hi all,

i have a misfire throughout all of the rev range and diesel knock under load causing lots of engine vibration and juddering. fault occured today whilst just coasting along on the motorway.

i was planning on replacing the cams in the near future as there was some noise coming from the OS of the engine and a leaky cam seal. im currently thinking it could be one of the rockers that have broken off so considering removing the rocker cover tomorrow to inspect.

ive recently replaced the alternator in the last week which i suspect had failed due to the amount of oil that is getting sprayed over it.

luckily i had my laptop and cable with me so i checked the measuring blocks on the injectors and checked pump timing.
cyl 1 and 3 injectors are measuring -2.5 mg/s at idle
cyl 4, 5, 6 are measuring +2.5mg/s
all values are way off, seems like one side of the engine is possibly compensating for the other?
i could not get a good reading on the pump timing graph, the timing for the pump was all over the place.
im guessing cyl 2 is the needle lift injector for which i didnt get a reading.

here are the fault codes that have come up

after some reading up on the ross tech forum ive seen some people suggest a couple of these faults may have some connection with the two wire plug that connects to the alternator.

if anyone has experienced similar id greatly appreciate some advice on what you have found, thanks in advance
