Self Revving when warm and Backfiring

Looking for some help...
car has randomly started to rev when warm by itself to 1100rpm then back down when idling at say lights, also it’s backfiring when changing gears no EML light had a Evap fault code changed Charcoal canister as recommended by Audi Specialist now it’s got above symptoms with code P0507!
Anyone experienced these issues and managed to fix it?

i had a similar issue on my s3 8p....changed the pcv valve which sorted it.
i didnt have any backfiring issues but the reving at idle sounds the same...someone on this site suggested a pcv prob so i took a punt and changed it,easy job and not expensive.

Yes it was the pcv valve it’s all sorted now, and one happy owner lol was annoying the **** out of me! thanks for the reply
Diaphragm was split so explained it all no revving or backfiring now
