My 2004 Audi A3 sport has just started making this noise after driving about 40 miles. The car is fully switched off and this noise continues for about 5 mins. Car runs fine, doesn’t over heat or lose power - any thoughts on what this is?!?!

Sounds like the auxiliary fan kicking in to cool the engine . Check your coolant level and monitor it for any further loss of coolant .
