I have just been quoted by Glasgow Audi for the 1st service on my A3 (£295). They also suggested that the brake fluid should be changed at this point. The car is 18 months old and has done about 14k miles.

Is it normal practise to change the brake fluid at this point or is the dealer just out for some more cash?

Thanks.

Think the service book says every 2 years on an A3, most seem to pay between £75 and £95 on an A3

Hi
If you have it on variable service then it would be good practice to have it done now
If you are doing 18 months between services then it will be over a year out as it will be 3 years old when you take it back in
Either that or take it in at 2 years old to get it done as mileage has nothing to do with the servicing regime on the brake fluid
