I'm looking to pull all 4 wheels off my Facelift 8V RS3 this week and put a ceramic coating on them , I still have my summer wheels from my mk7 golf R and was hoping to use them for a few days while the ceramic is applied and cures but wanted to make sure they will fit ok offset wise.

They are Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.3 19x8.5 ET45.

I know they should clear the front brakes ok in terms of width but wanted to make sure the spokes wont foul on the calipers, can anyone confirm either way?

Cheers

The offsets between hatch and saloon are different. The 45 should be ok on Hatch and may be ok on saloon. If you have them then best bet is to do a quick test fit.

Yeah it's a hatchback.

Was hoping to get it done this morning but the weather hasn't really obliged

Just had a look at the Team Dynamics website and they list 2 different pro race wheel part numbers for the Golf R, only the 2nd one is listed as fitting the front of the RS3, so I guess it'll be down to it not clearing the calipers...

Best to offer up gently the alloy to the hub whilst watching the caliper clearance.

I know I've just quoted my own post but reading back, the 1st one has a 45mm offset and the 2nd a 40mm offset. It's only the 40mm offset that is listed to fit the front of the RS3 so if I was going to guess, I'd say they won't fit (but it's definitely a guess).

If they don't fit on the front (and assuming the tyres are a similar size - I believe the Golf uses 235/35R19 as standard) would it be the hardest thing in the world to do 2 at a time and just fit the golf wheels on the rear for a few days?

Alternatively - 5mm spacers on your golf wheels should space them out far enough to fit, but 2 spacers and appropriate bolts won't exactly be cheap for what you want them for.

Just thrown one on for a check as ceramic coating hasn't arrived yet so will have to wait a few weeks now til I have time.

No clearance issues

From reading that I think Team Dynamics have it backwards, they list the 255 equipped wheel as rear when it should be front.

Suspension hadnt settled as just dropped the car to ground for photo so arch gap looks a little big . I'll stick up a photo when I've got all 4 on as dont think I've seen an RS3 on TDs on here before
