I’ve recently picked up some Eibach Sportline lowering springs for my A3 8V.

Are there any parts you recommend changing when fitting the lowering springs?

Just after some feedback if people have fitted the springs to find something requiring replacement a few months later.....

They’ll be going on a 62 plate 3dr s-line.

TIA

if the shocks are the factory ones then I would consider changing them. A set of lowering springs on 7-8 year old shocks isn’t going to do it any good. If you think the piston in the shock will corrode over time and by lowering it the piston part with the most corroded bits with be further in the shock and will end up rubbing and breaking the seal then leak. Seen this happen so many times. Might last 6 months maybe even a year or more but a ticking time bomb nonetheless.
Other things while it’s apart is check the bushes and replace them while it’s apart. Anti roll bar links depending where they are connected.
top mounts as these seems to be a problem in the 8v.
Main thing is get a 4 wheel laser alignment.
