Boot problems..

Hello guys,
I have a problem with my boot not locking,
I’ve purchased a new solenoid as the old one was seized, now when I either use the fob or the boot handle the boot will unlock but won’t return to then lock the hatch,
I’ve recently changed the chains and it has been sat for a fair few months, would I be right in thinking it might be a damp comfort unit? Or is there anything I can check without replacing it?

Check the boot lock connector for any corrosion, check the convenience module under the floor, make sure the battery base isn't blocked & flooded any water, few things to check, sure can be fixed ok.

Hello, yes i've had all connections removed and they are all fine, the micro switch in the boot latch is making connection and i also have 12v at the solenoid when operating the handle switch, something is telling the solenoid to not return to the lock position, only assuming it can be that module, ive had the battery out and hoovered and blown it all out with air.
