DAB missing from radio

I’ve just bought a 2013 B8 and I could have sworn it has DAB but this morning when selecting radio , it’s only showing FM,MW and LW.

Is there an easy way to check it really does have DAB?

I have the MMI 3G+ in it and I’ve got VCDS.

Scanned with VCDS and shows tuner part number 4G0 035 056 which I think means it doesn't have DAB.
Google suggests part 4G0 035 061 can be used instead to add DAB. Really surprised a 2013 car doesn't have DAB when the 2005 car it replaced did!

I've been looking at this retrofit too, looks like with the updated dab tuner, wiring to the window antenna (soldering to a new point) and an antenna booster it should work. The tuners are quite expensive so I may not be worth it.

Could just buy a Tune2air and digitial radio from your phone which is what I've done for now.

Yeah I spotted that after some more googling. Have you tried it?
Seems a reasonable price.
It’s either that or drop a fat wedge and get the carplay kit with touchscreen for £479, then stream the radio instead

Not tried it myself, I went the car play / android auto route, check my thread for info, it can be added for less than £200
