Hi, i want to run 245/40/r18 9.5j or 235 8.5j with ET35 rear and front, and some Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Honestly i searched many times this subject but i can't find with ET35 on R18. My car is 2.0 TDI 140 hp at base (BPW engine code), with FWD. Please tell me, do you know if et35 on 235/245 8.5/9.5j r18 will rub on front? Thx all !

I have 19x8.5 with 235 35 19 et35 and no rubbing so I'm assuming the 18’s will be more than fine, i want to fit 245 for better traction but il have to widen the arches with et35 on the front, rears will be fine.

As for the eibach pro kit its not as low as the eibach sportlines i have on so you should have a bit more clearance than me and i have no issues so your be fine.

Your choice of variant will not really be relavant to be honest.
235/40 is the optimal width on the A4 B7 chassis if running 18" or 235/35 on 19" alloys upto ET30 on 8j or 8.5j alloys.
after that you're own your own really as tyre rubbing can and does become an issue , less if your are running standard ride height suspension.
just my input .

Thank you all, so if i will go on 235 40 8.5j ET35 will be fine. My problem is to not hit the wing with et35 on front.

From my experience and wheel set up 35 offset on an 8.5j the rears sit in a good 4-5mm more than the front on these b7’s so rear should be fine with arch clearance.

I think its willtheyfit.com has calculator that shows offset, widths etc with different wheels, tyres, et and so on, used it on my caddy van to see what sizes I could squeeze under the arch.

Anything more than et32 on the fronts with 235 width rubber will look like a tractor.
