adaptive headlight issue on A6 Le Mans

I have recently purchased an A6 as above, when I insert the key in the ignition the main beam comes and goes off on start up and turning on the lights to dip, the warning light stays on,I have been told that it may be the levelling sensor any thoughts welcome thanks

Check sensor arm hasn't snapped front or rear, if it has any magride or air suspension, it will have 1 per corner, ideally a scan will help you hugely here.
