Squeaking Folding Wing Mirror

Hi Guys!
My Wifes A5 (2012) has the drivers side wing mirror emitting a squeal when it is operated.
Would you reccomend a way of lubricating the squealing internal parts?
Has anyone dealt with this before?

Wd40 or white grease I find helps, not too much as gets messy.

Thank You fro taking the time to respond and so quickly may I add!
Can i get away with squirting some wd behind the mirror in the direction of the asssumed Hinge area?
Or do i have to strip the mirror down in some way?

You could try but best to remove the glass, if it's electric folding then it's an enclosed motor.

How complex is it to remove the Glass?

Turn it downward, apply equal pressure to the rear around the holding bracket & hopefully it'll pop of.

Problem is overtime they get stuck, so be patient, when refitting, apply white grease around the holding plate on rear of mirror to allow removal later easier.
