I have had my Rs3 fl serviced at a independent specialist and I have a stage 1 Mrc map. When the car was picked up it seems the map has been wiped off and doesn’t feel anywhere near what it was before it went for service. Question is can the map be wiped off from diagnostic check or battery being discounted

With your MRC stg1, your rev limit would have been increasd to 7200, check your red line once warm, if it's back to under 7000 (ie 6800), then yes

but an independant service/diagnostics should not have wiped it, nor battery disconnect, only an ECU update would.

7200 rpm must be heat as I am on standard intercooler and probably pulling some timing But I normally get a big kick at 5000rpm

Edit (mis-understood previous post)

Oh I see what you mean

You think you suffering from heat soak, I've not seen/felt that in the 2yrs on std IC Stg1.

You’ve probably just gotten used to the performance!
