Had this happen a couple of times lately, going around 30ph I think in maybe 3rd gear and suddenly the car wouldn't accelarate, instead it started jumping/bunny hopping. Stopped and turned off the car and after starting back up it was ok and it was ok for the 30 mile drive home, but then happened again a few days later.
The glow plug light came up but went away after restarting the car.
Any ideas on this? Google brings up several things such as EGR valve, injectors and more
Car is a 07 plate 2.0 TDI A3 8P
Booked in next week for diagnostics at a VW/Audi specialist garage so hopefully it shows something up. The light doesnt just come on straight away however and it could drive a couple miles fine before it starts to have this issue.
Not sure if it is related but my DMF is on it's way out or not, the mechanics on the phone implied it wouldn't be and that it is a separate issue.
