New DQ250 mechatronic unit

Hi all, Hoping someone can help me out
My mechatronic unit has failed and cant not be repaired so If i buy a new mechatronic unit from Audi using my VIN will the unit be plug and play or will it need more coding or just the vagcom adaptions carried out??

There are plenty of places you can get the mechatronics unit repaired, it will work out way cheaper than a new unit.
