Step by Step guide on removal of gaiter and knob?

Hey
I am replacing my gear knob and gaiter with real italian leather and a nice Momo knob, got the knob super cheap at £40.00 brand new from £80.00, its the Gotham knob and looks really clean and great quality

Is there a guide on how to remove the gaiter and replace the old garbage Pleather gaiter, I will need to use the old frame as well so dont know how this goes on either.

I have seen some on youtube, but they seem to go way to fast, or its not a full guide on how to remove them.

I did try pull the end of the gaiter with my fingers but it would not budge.

Youtube always makes it look like a 5 min job, but not for me Ha Ha.

You need a trim tool set. Get under the sides of the gaitor. Prise up carefully.

I was wondering if you needed one.
I did see someone grab the gaiter and pull it up from the bottom by their hands, but it was not a A3 8V
