So I managed to pick up some parts over the Christmas period at a reasonably good price thanks to some sales which include a Wagner intercooler and some poly bushes for the lower control arms as they need replaced due to excess play.
Got in touch with an independent near me to get them fitting who have refused to replace these as they claim they do not fit customer supplied parts and want me to buy all the parts from them (which mean a higher price).

Am I being mugged off or would this sound reasonable ?

Tbh its reasonable for a number of reasons, anyway just try somewhere else.

Just go and find another garage, there are plenty of fish in the sea. Often an excuse means they don’t want your business for some reason. If you intend to keep and mod a car it will pay to have a good relationship with a specialist who is familiar with your car, not just a generic garage .

Thanks guys, I just contacted my regular specialist who will do it with no issues, just at a slighter higher rate which I’m happy to pay.
